That is clear to me, but as I indicated, I am not sure when this "connection.autoconnect-slaves 1" became the default. And I want to have some sort of easy to remember control over what is connected (cables) or not. Already before RPiOS Bookworm, other distros. udev rules could help there, but NM I find more convenient. Not so much for RPis, but for other SBC's and various kernels/DTBs/firmware.There is a difference between 'automatically connect' on the bridge and slave devices, vs 'connection.autoconnect-slaves 1' on the bridge device which directs NM to bring up the slave devices when the bridge device is started.I have mostly multiple profiles, also VLANs, etc. Of course only 1 set must autocnnrect (for remote/headless ssh), all others then no autoconnect. I know if I untick 'Automatically connect' in both bridge and all slave devices, its fine.
