Do you need to replace the board ? The pi3 maybe sufficient for your purpose. Why not try it and see.
I would agree. I am still using my Pi 3B (non-plus) as my day-to-day Pi and it's doing fine by me. I would recommend running Bookworm which should allow you to simply move the SD Card to a Pi 4B or Pi 5 and 'job done' if you you do feel the need for more speed.
