Changes to the OS to use network manager maybe worth checking

viewtopic.php?t=357623
It should be using NetworkManager by default with a fresh setup, since Bookworm is now the default version.

ThatTwat3000 how are you setting up the WiFi? wpasupplicant isn't used.

You can also install screen via apt, then use screen to do your update. That way if you connection does drop it doesn't close the session and break the update process.

Personally is would have hooked up to a screen to watch the process , but then I have the cables.
